An all-time peak is a fixed historical event. It happened once, and it cannot change. So why do five Destiny 2 tracking sites report five different ones? We pulled the current Steam figures, traced the monthly history back to 2019, and worked out which trackers are reporting real data and which are guessing.

Destiny 2 came out on September 6, 2017, but that answer alone leaves out the PC launch seven weeks later, the free-to-play relaunch in 2019, and the fact that the 2017 campaign was deleted from the game years ago. Here's the full timeline through Bungie's final update in June 2026.
